TERMS OF SERVICE

Educare Tutors Hub – Online Tutoring Services

Effective from: 2025

Welcome to Educare Tutors Hub (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our online tutoring services, you (“User,” “Student,” “Learner,” “Parent,” “Sponsor,” or “Tutor”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

  1. Definitions
  • Company: Educare Tutors Hub, an online private tutoring platform.
  • Tutor: An individual providing tutoring services via our platform on ad hoc basis.
  • Student/Learner: An individual receiving tutoring services.
  • Parent/Guardian: A legal guardian of a minor student.
  • Sponsor: Individual or legal representation of an entity responsible for the account
  • User: Any individual accessing or using our services, including tutors, students, and parents.

  1. Eligibility
  • Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Minors must obtain parental/guardian consent before using our services.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password.

  1. Services Offered
  • Live Tutoring: One-on-one and group sessions available in various subjects online.
  • Exam Preparation: Assistance with test preparation and study materials.
  • Skill Development: Support for various academic activities and Microsoft office.

  1. Payment & Pricing
  • Payment: All services must be paid in advance, based on our pricing structure.
  • Accepted Methods: We accept payments through EFT, credit/debit cards, and online payment gateways.
  • Refunds: No refunds will be issued for completed sessions.

  1. Scheduling & Cancellations
  • Session Booking: Sessions must be booked in advance via the platform and confirmed with the tutor at least one day in advance.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least [6] hours before a scheduled session.
  • Late Cancellations/No-shows: Failure to cancel or show up for a session will incur charges or loss of session credits.
  • Emergency: If an emergency occurs, please report to Educare Tutors Hub admin to review the situation.
  • Classrooms: This service cannot be cancelled and no shows will still receive the topic breakdown of each lesson.

  1. Code of Conduct
  • Users are expected to engage respectfully and professionally.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Tutors are required to always maintain ethical teaching practices.
  • Tutors need to sign their agreements after the interview process and acceptance.

  1. Intellectual Property
  • All lesson materials, recordings, and proprietary content are owned by Educare Tutors Hub or our tutors.
  • Users may not copy, distribute, or share any content without express permission.

  1. Privacy & Data Protection
  • We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
  • Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law.

  1. Limitation of Liability
  • Educational Outcomes: We do not guarantee any specific academic results.
  • Technical Issues: We are not responsible for technical issues beyond our control, including internet connectivity or platform errors.
  • Loss of clients: We cannot be held responsible for any loss of payment due to extra lessons taking place without payment.

  1. Termination of Services
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violating these Terms of Service.
  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
  • Classroom subscriptions cannot be cancelled.

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  • These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
  • Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration or in the courts of South Africa.

  1. Changes to Terms
  • We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service. Any significant changes will be communicated to users.
  • Continued use of our services signifies acceptance of the revised terms.
